His specialised expertise lies in performing orthopedic procedures, predominantly centered around total joint replacements for major joints such as the hip and knee, addressing sports-related injuries, fractures, and a spectrum of general orthopedic conditions.

 

In addition to his surgical proficiency, Charis demonstrates a dedicated commitment to the advancement of diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK-US) techniques, catering to both pediatric and adult patients. His academic journey began with his admission to the distinguished Medical School of Patras, affiliated with the University of Peloponnese. His subsequent one-year tenure at the Air Force Military Hospital in Athens further enriched his medical experience.

Charis achieved the prestigious title of Orthopedic Surgeon in 2020, following successful completion of the rigorous written and oral State examinations held in Athens, Greece.

 

Since 2016, He has undertaken the esteemed role of Team Doctor for AEK FC, a distinguished professional football club based in Athens, Greece. As the club competes at the highest level in the Greek Superleague, its recent victory in the 2023 Greek Championship underscores their prowess. Within this competitive sporting arena, his expertise shines in managing sports-related injuries among elite athletes, leveraging cutting-edge ultrasound techniques to elevate the standards of diagnosis and monitoring.
